Chapter 436: Fooled

Ji Bo smiled at her, politely and found himself nervous for the very first time of his life. “My name is Ji Bo. I am Ji Lili’s cousin. My cousin has wronged you and I apologize on her behalf. Please don’t take her words seriously, she has not grown up yet.”

When the red wine had landed upon Shangguan Rouxue, Ji Lili was the first one who cursed and shouted at Shangguan Ning. Her words had been extremely harsh.

Ji Bo noticed that she was startled. Probably, she hadn’t expected that someone might have noticed what actually happened. Then she smiled, “No worries, apology accepted. You are a good person. Ji Lili is lucky.”

She was peaceful, calm, and forgiving.

Her looks and conduct left such a deep impression in Ji Bo’s heart that when he was selecting his secretary, he kept the one whose voice resembled Shangguan Ning’s.

His secretary was not capable at her work but she had been with him for four years just because he was obsessed with her voice.

Apart from the two banquets, Shangguan Ning had been to Family Ji three times and each time, she was with Shangguan Rouxue.

What Shangguan Ning didn’t know was that her encounter with Ji Bo had always been planned patiently by him. Whenever he knew that Shangguan Ning was coming to visit Family Ji, he would stay back and eat at home.

Every time Ji Lili picked on her, Ji Bo would speak for her and lecture Ji Lili to stop her from messing around. That was why Ji Lili always assumed that Ji Bo fancied Shangguan Ning.

If only nothing had changed, then all would have been so wonderful at this moment.

He had not only failed to catch this woman who once made his heart throb but also ended up becoming her enemy. Now, they were locked in a life and death struggle.

But Shangguan Ning still didn’t dare to be careless. She knew that Ji Bo was a man who treated career and family as something really important. Jing Yichen was his enemy so was she.

Shangguan Ning had no idea how long she had been here for, already. All she knew was that as soon as Jing Yichen found her missing, he would get extremely worried.

Why must Ji Bo wait until dawn before releasing her?

Why wouldn’t he hold her for two days so that the wedding could be cancelled?

A touch of anxiety flashed across Shangguan Ning’s heart.

“Raise your arms and stand up slowly!” Shangguan Ning was doing what she had seen on TV.

A bitter smile hovered over Ji Bo’s face, but the smile soon disappeared.

He put his arms up and slowly raised himself.
